Flickr

I have had a flickr account for some time now. What I really love about flickr is that you do not have to create an account to simply view public photos. I cannot stand getting invitations to view photos only to find out that I have to create a login, password and give out my email address, just to look a friend's vacation photos.

So, here are my vacation photos - not account required.

Elise and I went up to Mt. Le Conte last fall. It was a dreary couple of days, but a wonderful trip. If you'd like to see more pictures go to: http://www.flickr.com/photos/16003922@N08/sets/72157602695121446/

Love the Mt. LeConte photos! I've been up several times, but not recently. It's always a great trip, and my strongest (not fondest) memory is of hiking with Dr. Rufus Morgan, who made us all get up in the dark, hike to Myrtle Point to watch the sunrise, which never happened (it was foggy). We left him sitting there while we went back for breakfast.

Are you talking about THE Rufus Morgan? I honestly didn't know he was that contemporary. With water falls and trail shelters named after him, I thought he was a contemporary of Horace Kephart.

Mr. Delfield:
You can find books by and about THE Rufus Morgan at your local library (well, at least through your regional library system!)

Another meez. This is Elise doing what she loves best.
